Katrina and Nicos are gelen but due to another woman no longer together. Now her father has passed and left a will stating that they have to stay together for atleast a year before they can divorce.
The problems that were there heken still trying to tear them apart. The OW stating that she is caring Nico’s child. Only he knows for sure. But he gets a second chance to be with his wife.
This story is how they deal with the outside source’s that want to tear their marriage apart permanatly. Another Bianchin book I love to reread. Even though some of Mrs Bianchin’s books may date themselves, and o. They are well written.
They tell a complete story from both hero and heroine’s views. Quick, easy, smooth love story. This was a good and enjoyable read.
The Husband Test (Passion) (Modern Romance, #138)
The story was decent with a good amount of tension between the characters. Leaves you satisfied at the end. Katrina heldn been manipulated by her beloved father, Kevin, to go back to her husband, Nicos, for a year. She has seven days to agree to Kevin’s will or Nicos will inherit the family business that Katrina loves with all her heart. Katrina has worked hard by Kevin’s side all her life to build the family multi-million empire, so she is understandably devastated. The fact that she left Nicos because his ex-mistress Georgia claimed an ongoing affair resulting in a pregnancy, only adds to her fury that her father wants her to go back to him.
Over her dead body if Nicos thinks he will inherit the MacBride empire that is rightfully hers. Personally this would have been a better story line if Katrina told everyone where to shove it, and shot through.
What was her father thinking? As it is, plenty of fireworks, pathetic ex-mistress confrontations, inane parasite of a step-brother, push over in bed of course – and really? Reviews are right that savvy business woman Katrina should have had the smarts to see through Georgia’s tacky assertations and to work things out with Nicos.
Too much weakness and not enough intelligence in the plot, the rough sex is borderline sexual assault but author has Katrina blithely drool over this. I lost respect for Katrina as an intelligent young woman, for Nicos who apparently loves Katrina so so much but this savage sex was his anger and frustration taken out on a wife.
I also lost respect for Helen Bianchin as a romance author. This love has no depth because author needs to keep coming back to lust. I agree with the other reviewers about A Katrina taking the ex-girlfriend’s word over her husband’s was a bit unrealistic especially when paternity can buanchin proved rather easily and B there seemed to be little love between the helwn main characters.
Easy read and generally well written. Katrina seemed to be portrayed as a good businesswoman.
It was nice to see Katrina shown to be more than competent in her work nusband dedicated to doing her job right as well as not putting up with men in the professional arena who won’t resepct her work ethic. Besides the two items listed above there were a couple other biancgin. I believe when a man has sexual relations with a partner in anger with no regard to whether the partner wants to participate in such relations – it is sexual assault and not sex or love.
That is not behavior to be respected in my opinion. Also it appeared the side characters were sprinkled in without real purpose. I kept expecting the ex-stepbrother to lose it a bit more and do something that added to the plot instead of just being a desperate low level blackmailer who wasn’t even good at it. I would not recommend this book as there as so many better ones out there where a man does not have to stoop to assault on his partner.
Biggest complaint is the fact that Katrina would take the word of an ex-mistress over her own husband’s knowing that the ex just wanted to get back in with him. Couldn’t believe all the testing took so husbans either! Surely if he was so well off he could have had the results and such much sooner especially since the ex really didn’t have much money. Katrina should have kept the faith and she really needs to do something about her self esteem!!
Helen Bianchin knows how to do sensual sex scenes and for that I give this book two stars. However, this is also suppose to be a romance and Tge really didn’t detect any true love between Katrina and Nicos. All I saw was two people who were well matched in every way but only seemed to feel intense sexual desire for each other.
Hianchin was the love? Where was the trust and committment?

After one very intense sexual experience, Katrina “realizes” that it couldn’t be that intense if it wasn’t love. Sorry Katrina but very good even outstanding chemistry does not equal love.
Quite a good book She chose to take his ex-mistress’s word intead. One person found this helpful. See all 8 reviews. Amazon Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers. Learn more about Hianchin Giveaway.
