This specification covers aluminum-alloy permanent mold castings.
The responsibility of furnishing castings that can be laid out and machined to the axtm dimensions within the permissible variations specified shall rest with the producer, except where mold equipment is furnished by the purchaser.
Samples for chemical analysis shall be taken by sawing, drilling, or milling the casting or test specimens in such a manner as to be representative of the material.
ASTM B – 01 Standard Specification for Aluminum-Alloy Permanent Mold Castings
Unless otherwise specified, only aluminum or producers foundry scrap shall be used in the re-melting furnace from which molten metal is taken for pouring directly into castings. Pure materials, recycled materials, and master alloys may be used to make b1008 conforming to this specification. Foundry control shall consist of examination of castings by radiographic or other approved methods for determining internal discontinuities until the gating, pouring, and other foundry practices have been established to produce castings meeting the quality standards furnished by the purchaser or agreed upon by the purchaser and the producer.
Separately cast test specimens shall be cast in iron molds.
If the castings are to be heat wstm and separately cast specimens are to be used, the specimens representing such castings shall be heat treated with the castings they represent. If castings are to be heat treated and tests are to be obtained on the castings, the test specimens shall be taken from the castings after heat treatment.
One per melt-heat combination shall be tested when tensile properties of castings are to be determined. The finished castings shall be uniform in composition and free of blowholes, cracks, shrinks, and other discontinuities.

The equivalent unified numbering system alloy designations are in accordance with Practice E The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.
Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
Months after Hurricanes Irma and Maria caused massive destruction to infrastructure and buildings across Puerto Rico, life for many area residents is still filled with challenges.
A major concern encountered by many residents in their daily lives is exposure to the presence of high concentrations of mold.
This is all too h108 the case in homes, schools and other institutions, and businesses that suffered water damage, elevated humidity levels, and no electricity for an extended period of time.
MoldRANGE provides an unbiased, databased, broader perspective of what is typically in the outdoor air. The Virginia laboratory has provided consistent and reliable service for more than a While the financial terms are confidential, Nordson has granted Moryl a covenant not to sue for b018 past sales of hot melt adhesive modules under EP as well as for future sales of those modules.
Inthe Institute of Medicine IOM found that there was sufficient evidence to link indoor exposure to mold with upper respiratory tract symptoms, cough and wheeze in otherwise healthy people; with asthma symptoms in people with asthma; and with hypersensitivity pneumonitis HP in individuals susceptible to that immune-mediated condition. Exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a Be the first to comment!
