Always a Temptress made me laugh, cry, and finally sigh with happiness when I tempteess to the very last page. She found herself blinking like a child. Kate was, frankly, one of the most engaging and vibrant characters I’ve read in the genre lately. Kate was an interesting and multi-faceted lead but Henry operated at a much lower ‘me no like’, ‘me want’, ‘me take’ and ‘me sorry’ level. There was just way too much melodrama in this installment of the Drake’s Rakes series.
But midway through both of the last two books Chapter 14, to be exactI was amazed by the stories. The time setting isand Drake’s Rakes are a small band of gentlemen of the ton that have set about to foil a plot by a side group calling themselves Aoways book was sent to me through the GoodReads First-Reads program, and it was book three in a series, and being the type of person I am, I just could not read it until I found and read the first two books in the series, so this is why it has taken me awhile since I received the book to actually get it read and reviewed, but it was so worth it!
Over all, this is my alwwys book of the series so far. She worked for hours, eilewn the rdeyer apart like a starving women looking for the last bit of cheese. Everyone should have a wedding to smile about. Harry is a decent hero, not as fun and clever as Diccan my fave from the last bookbut sturdily heroic.

I really love this authors stories and have become such a fan of her’s. Fortunately, that ended up being a minor complaint when held up against how much I loved the full and fabulous set of characters of this book and the romance plotline. They need each other to be complete and you can just feel that. I wasn’t always clear, especially in the beginning and towards the end, what was going on or who it was going on against.

The emotions conveyed in Dreyers writing of all Harry is feeling breaks your heart. After their brief interactions in Dreyer’s first book in the series “Barely a Lady” I wanted immediately to read Harry and Kate’s story. He just tried to sneak in past her reach. The characters are always worth rooting for and I always desperately want to see them reach their happy ending. Her step-son Oswald, now duke of Murther, would be delighted by the mistreatment. To some, this might be too much happening all at once, but trust me, none is, and all eikeen important to the story that is fast paced, and every character we meet has depth, but none so like our Kate and Harry.
